Originally from Poland, Gosia Walton is an up-and-coming Scotland-based artist working across drawing, printmaking, painting, digital works and sculpture. She received her Master in Fine Art in Contemporary Art Practice at Edinburgh College of Art in 2015. Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy and Talbot Rice Gallery.

Drawing is now a daily ritual throughout her life, used as a necessary tool to record, access and represent a different kind of written language. It’s a visual example of communication that doesn’t have to be rooted in cognitive thinking. The work captures organic “letters” immersed in an internal world through undulating lines. The work is colourful, abstract, intimate and a place to work through Walton’s complicated relationship with femininity, joy, and pleasure.
